Emma's Cottage Vineyard cellar door and art gallery is open Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Our wines is made from premium hand-picked estate grown grapes. Cottage guests receive a 20% discount on our wines. The art gallery shows work from Hunter based artists.

We have four self-contained cottages which are ideal for your next trip to the fantastic Hunter Valley. We take single cottage bookings, small groups or large family gatherings.

What's included and what to bring:
What's included: Bed linen, towels, toilet paper, cutlery, crockery, glassware, utensils, BBQ tools, dishwashing powder, wipes and cleaners.
What to bring: All your own food and drink and anything you will consume not listed in inclusions above. For those wanting to use the pool please bring your own pool towels, or we have towels available for hire. If in doubt please call to check.

There is an outdoor swimming pool available for guests. Please bring your pool towel or hire one of ours.

The main garden is 5 acres of almost level grass and gardens. The property abounds with wildlife including kangaroos, parrots, Magpies, Babblers, Kookaburras, Royal Spoonbills, grey and white herons, ducks, water hens and even the occasional Black Swan and Pelican. There is so many animals to add that real country feel, and all only minutes from all the Hunter has to offer!!.

Most of all you will notice the peace and quiet of our place.


4 bedroom: Two storey, charming and spacious, set in a lovely garden. Located adjacent to vineyard and swimming pool, this comfortable two storey, ideal for 8 guests. Easy, level access and parking. BBQ, outdoor setting under the wrap around veranda. 4 queen rooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped modern kitchen, air-conditioned, television, CD and DVD player, combustion log fire.

3 bedroom: The old farmhouse, quaint, overlooks the vineyard, 3 comfortable queen bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 is ensuite), ideal for 6 guests. Parking, BBQ, outdoor setting under verandah, fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioned in main area, television, CD and DVD player, combustion log fire.

2 bedroom: Two of these lovely cottages. Both overlooking the vineyard. 2 queen beds or 1 queen bed and 2 king singles, 1 bathroom in each cottage, modern kitchen, air-conditioned, television, CD and DVD player, combustion fire. Easy level access parking, BBQ, outdoor setting under the verandah.

Getting Here
From the South:
Follow the signs to Cessnock and Branxton. As you leave Cessnock you turn onto Wine Country Drive heading North towards Branxton. After 5km you will pass Cessnock airport and the Visitor Information Centre (worth a stop to gather reference material for your stay) on your left. Keep traveling North along Wine Country Drive for another 7km, turning right into Wilderness Rd. Emma’s Cottage Vineyard is 1.4km on your left.

From the Hunter Expressway:
Turn off at the Lovedale Road exit. Take the second exit on the roundabout and travel 2 km, then turn right into Wilderness Road and continue 3km to Gillies Bridge. Emma's front gate is 1km past the bridge on the right. You will see a red truck near our front gate.

From the North:
Turn off the new England Highway at Branxton, heading South for Cessnock. You will be on Wine Country drive. Follow this road from 7km then turn left into Wilderness Rd. Emma's Cottage Vineyard is 1.4km on your left.
