Alkira is a large home featuring six bedrooms and is perfect for families, golf stays or wine and dine experiences. The two main bedrooms both have king sized beds and ensuites. Bedrooms three and four contain queen beds, bedroom five has two single beds and the sixth bedroom has a king single bed. A media room with large TV also has a pull-out sofa bed for additional guests if required ($100 extra charge). The main bathroom has twin hand basins, shower and bath with a separate toilet. The entertainers kitchen is centrally located and well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Tea, coffee, sugar is provided as well as a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine (BYO pods). The open plan living and dining room features plenty of comfortable seating, a 10 seat dining table, TV with Netflix and Kayo and a gas fireplace for those colder winter nights in the Hunter. This area flows out to the generous alfresco area which has a BBQ, another 10 seat dining table and comfortable lounge setting. With outdoor fans and heating it is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine all year round! There is also a fire pit area outdoors. At the rear of the property a back gate will take you out to a large Vintage parkland area, perfect for the kids to run around or for a game of cricket. Relax in the sunshine on the back deck over-looking the parkland. You may even spot a kangaroo!
Alkira is in a fantastic location with easy access to concert venues. Bimbadgen cellar door and concert venue is only a short walk away and offers Friday night pizza. There is a bus pick up and drop off point for concerts and special events just a short walk from the house. The Vintage offers a range of dining options from cafes to a bistro and restaurant. You also have access to the Vintage recreation facilities – swimming pool, gymnasium and tennis courts, all an easy 900m walk from the house. Only a short stroll further is The Spa at Chateau Elan offering the ultimate in indulgence. Its services include the Hydrolounge with outdoor mineral spas, and a range of spa treatments including massages and facials. For the golfing enthusiast, enjoy a round at the Greg Norman designed 18 hole golf course and finish your round with a refreshing drink at the beautiful clubhouse. A short drive away are Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club and Hunter Valley Golf and Country Club at Crowne Plaza in Lovedale. The wonderful Hunter Valley Gardens is also close by and hosts regular holiday activities such as Snow Time, Christmas Lights Spectacular and Mega Creatures. Next door to the Gardens is Hunter Valley Aqua Golf and Putt Putt where you could win a prize. If these activities make you hungry there are countless dining options ranging from relaxed bistro meals to award winning restaurants offering the ultimate dining experience. And if you are thirsty, you will be delighted with the variety of cellar door and wine tasting experiences right across the valley. Organised wine tours should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. For the early birds there are spectacular daily hot air balloon flights (weather dependent) that regularly fly over The Vintage to give you a great bird’s eye view.
