With living, dining and outdoor entertaining, views across adjacent paddocks to hillside vineyards beyond, you’ll feel a sense of space as you take in the surrounding landscape. Being one of only three houses on the street, you will enjoy the sense of calm this seclusion brings.
Ideal for 8 guests, this fully self-contained retreat will accommodate all your needs, offering access to the estate pool and tennis court along with chefs kitchen, reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout, StarLink Satellite Wi-Fi, two sitting areas with TV’s, generous bathrooms with bathtub, BBQ, firepit* and laundry room. One of the bedrooms has been designed as an ability suite, with en-suite, along with gentle access via a landscaped ramp and wide entrance front and rear door, to enjoy the single level main house and entertaining areas. The newly installed Tesla battery provides assurance of off-grid power in case of a black out, and there is an electric vehicle charger supplied for guests' convenience.
Well located just off Broke Road and Hermitage Roads, you and your guests are only minutes from memorable Hunter Valley attractions, food and experiences and bike trails. Kalamata Retreat is located 8.8km to Hunter Valley Gardens, 3km De Iuliis Wines, Hunter Belle Cheese Café and Leogate Estate, 6.5km to Tyrells, 5.6km to Keith Tulloch, Muse Kitchen and the delights of Hermitage & Deasys Road cellar doors; Hunters Dream, Degen Estate and Hart & Hunter, and only 16.9km to the start of the Broke Wine Trail. You’ll be spoilt for choice being conveniently located to visit cellar doors, restaurants, golf courses and wedding venues.

Security cameras are commonplace at many of our rural properties. Footage is private and remains the property of the owner, and will only be used for insurance liability reasons, to monitor occupancy and other policies noted in our Terms & Conditions. They, in no way, are there to infringe upon the expectation of privacy of guests in these exterior areas. To disable or obscure the cameras is prohibited and may result in loss of security deposit or eviction.

1 night bookings may be considered based on availability (surcharge applies) 3 night minimum for long weekend, Easter, Xmas and New Year bookings Concerts weekends in the Hunter Valley do have a set minimum to stay and may attract a surcharge
SECURITY DEPOSIT A security deposit/bond of $1000 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre- authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.
MIDWEEK BOOKINGS and LONGER STAYS - Please contact us for a quote. Discounts are available for midweek stays and longer stays of 4 nights and over.
